The scale of this four-story interchange is equivalent to Xizhimen Bridge, which is also the key and difficult point of this reconstruction project. "This interchange has a four-story structure, the highest point is 25 meters, and there are 10 ramp bridges, with more than 10 intersections between the bridges. However, citizens will not feel around when they drive in the future. " Guo Shui, the project manager of the construction unit, said that the difficulty of the project is also reflected in the fact that the new interchange will cross the subway four times and cross the expressway six times, and the road and bridge pipelines will be constructed at the same time, so it is difficult to organize and coordinate. It is necessary to ensure the safety of the running subway and expressway through precise planning.

At present, the morning rush hour congestion at Xinzhuang Bridge, the blocking point of Beijing-Tibet Expressway, can last from 7: 00 to 10: 00, and the passing time is as long as half an hour. In the future, with the completion of this interchange, citizens can switch to all directions of east, west, north and south through various ramp bridges, without having to wait for traffic lights under the bridge, and the traffic capacity of the bridge area will be greatly improved.According to reports,After the completion of the future construction, the location of the Beijing-Tibet Expressway toll station will be relocated in coordination with the use of the new interchange.

The first phase intersects with four main roads of two expressways.

From the map, the rapid reconstruction project of Beiqing Road runs east-west, starting from Youyi Road on the west side of Jingxin Expressway in the west, and passing through Haidian District and Changping District in the east, with a total length of 19.4 kilometers. Among them, the first phase of the project from Youyi Road to Hongfu West Road is about 8.9 kilometers long. In addition to crossing the Beijing-Tibet Expressway, an interchange will be set up at the Beijing-Xinjiang Expressway.

Beiqing Road is planned as an urban expressway with a red line width of 60 to 110 meters, with an expressway viaduct and a ground auxiliary road. The standard sections are all two-way and six lanes.

"There are six intersecting roads along the first phase of the project, including two expressways, namely Jingxin and Beijing-Tibet, and four main roads, namely Erbazi West Road, Huichang East Road, Zhanqian Street and Hongfu West Road. There are 4 major railways and track lines that intersect and are close to each other, including Beijing-Zhangjia high-speed railway, Northeast Ring Railway, Metro changping line and Metro Line 8, and also intersect with 6 rivers. The project will implement municipal public pipelines, greening, transportation, lighting and other projects simultaneously with the road.

Commuting efficiency along the route will be increased by 1.2 to 1.8 times.

Beiqing Road is the main east-west traffic artery between the North Fifth Ring Road and the North Sixth Ring Road, and it is an important city-level expressway connecting Haidian, Changping and Shunyi.

"The project construction will effectively reduce the traffic pressure on the Fifth Ring Road and the Sixth Ring Road. At the same time, as an important horizontal expressway in the northern region, it is connected in series with the high-speed road network in the northern region, further strengthening the connection and transformation between the northwest passage and the northeast passage, strengthening the connection between Haidian, Changping and Shunyi, improving the traffic efficiency of the road network in the’ Huitian’ area, and promoting the connection between Zhangjiakou, Yanqing, Changping and other regions and sub-centers. According to the previous calculation, after the road is completed and opened to traffic, the commuting efficiency along the road will be increased by 1.2 to 1.8 times.

In order to minimize the impact on the life and travel of the surrounding residents, the project will adopt continuous road construction, reasonably set up traffic guides, and guide the citizens to pass normally during the construction period through remote tips and signs.
