The new BMW 5 Series long wheelbase version was officially launched at the end of January.
On January 2nd, BMW Group officially announced that the new BMW 5 Series long wheelbase version was off the assembly line at the Dadong factory of BMW Shenyang production base. The new car will be launched at the end of January 2024.
Domestic long-axis 5-series fuel vehicles will provide six models, namely, 525Li luxury suit, 525Li M sports suit, 530Li leading luxury suit, 530Li leading M sports suit, 530Li exclusive luxury suit and 530Li exclusive M sports suit. Among them, 525Li is equipped with a 2.0T low-power engine with a maximum power of 190 HP; The 530Li is equipped with a 2.0T high-power engine with a maximum power of 258 HP.
Domestic long-axis i5 will launch four models, namely, i5 eDrive35L luxury suit, i5 eDrive35L M sports suit, i5 eDrive35L exclusive luxury suit and i5 eDrive35L exclusive M sports suit. The new car will be equipped with a rear single motor with a maximum power of 250kW(340 HP) and a battery life of 567km under CLTC conditions.
The imported standard axis version will launch two models, namely the 525i M sports suit and the i5 M60 xDrive, in which the 525i is expected to be equipped with a 2.0T low-power engine with a maximum power of 190 HP; On the other hand, the i5 M60 xDrive will adopt a dual-motor four-wheel drive system, with a conventional power of 380kW(517 HP) and a maximum torque of 795 Nm. After starting the Sport Boost/Launch Control mode, it can be raised to 442kW(601 HP) and 820 Nm respectively, with an acceleration time of 3.8 seconds at 0-100km/h and a maximum cruising range of 570km under CLTC conditions.
The new BMW 5 Series adopts a tougher body design, and the front of the car has a circular grille and a brand-new "angel eye headlight", and the lighting effect of the front of the car will be highly recognizable. The domestic long-wheelbase version looks very slender, and the classic Hough corner is integrated with the chrome-plated decoration of C-pillar, and the luminous 5-character logo is also integrated in the decoration. The length, width and height of the new car are 5175/1900/1520mm and the wheelbase is 3105 mm. The design of the rear of the car is much simpler than that of the front of the car, the light group is more slender, and chrome decoration is added in the rear enclosure to enhance the sense of movement.
The new car adopts the latest family-style design. The center console is equipped with a Dalian screen with a 12.3-inch LCD instrument and a 14.9-inch central control screen. The thick flat-bottomed steering wheel has a good grip, and the crystal interior components make the car more exquisite. The rear row of the 5-series long-wheelbase model continues the luxury of the 7-series, such as a 32:9 BMW floating screen, which supports real-time interconnection.
