Yunnan Golden Monkey National Nature Reserve, located in Mangkang County, Changdu City, Tibet, is the second Yunnan Golden Monkey National Nature Reserve in China and one of the most important distribution areas of Yunnan Golden Monkey in China. According to the latest statistics from the Forestry and Grass Bureau of Mangkang County, the number of Yunnan golden monkeys has now increased to more than 800.

It is understood that the Mangkang Yunnan Golden Monkey National Nature Reserve has a total area of nearly 180,000 hectares, with an altitude of 2,200 to 4,700 meters and a forest coverage rate of 70% to 80%. In recent years, with the country attaching great importance to the construction of ecological civilization, Mangkang County has strengthened the protection of ecological environment, and the number of Yunnan golden monkeys in Mangkang Yunnan Golden Monkey National Nature Reserve has gradually increased, from more than 500 in the 1980s to more than 800 now.
