Multi-measures to strengthen agricultural disaster relief

Cctv news(News Network): Recently, extreme heavy rainfall in North China and Northeast China caused floods, which had a great impact on agricultural production. At present, many measures have been taken by various localities to implement disaster relief and post-disaster production recovery measures for agriculture, and strive to reduce disaster losses.

Heilongjiang Province is an important grain producing province in China, and recent heavy rainfall has caused floods in some cities and counties such as Harbin and Mudanjiang. In Shuangcheng, the traditional dominant corn industry planting area, local cadres and masses are making every effort to repair drainage ditches, clean up silt and allocate agricultural materials, and strive to minimize losses.

In the past few days, the agricultural and rural departments in Hebei Province have organized forces to seize the "window period", speed up the drainage of accumulated water in the fields, shorten the flooding time of crops and reduce the affected area. In Yongnian District of Handan City, the accumulated water in the 500-mu corn and soybean strip compound planting plot of Hao Yunying, a large grain grower, has been basically drained. After carefully checking the soil moisture and seedling situation, the agricultural technicians informed him of the key points of autumn grain management after the rain.

In order to help the disaster-stricken areas resume production as soon as possible, Hebei Supply and Marketing Cooperative has urgently allocated 50,000 tons of chemical fertilizers and 200 tons of pesticides, and sent 10 working groups to guide flood control and disaster relief work in various places. In view of the current disaster situation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has made further arrangements for agricultural disaster relief and autumn grain production, requiring all localities to pay attention to drainage and disaster relief in the affected areas, do their utmost to reduce disaster losses, pay attention to autumn grain field management in the unaffected areas, and go all out to increase yield per unit area, and strive to achieve more production in non-disaster areas, stable production in light disaster areas, and less production reduction in severe disaster areas.
