Recently, new media platforms, including good-looking videos, watermelon videos, Bili Bili, Little Red Books, Tigers flew, Zhihu, Baijiahao, Netease News, Sina Weibo, Tik Tok, Aauto Quicker, Today Headline, WeChat platform (WeChat official account, video number), Tencent Video, Tencent Microvision, Youku Video, etc., copied, published and disseminated a large number of my speech videos and their fragments without my consent (mostly He also used titles and articles that seriously distorted the theme of my speech and took it out of context, and even published and disseminated malicious titles and contents like "Professor Zheng Qiang advocated kicking English out of the college entrance examination" and "Professor Zheng Qiang said: Professor XXX is not as good as me and can’t be on an equal footing with me at all" that I have never published on any occasion. What’s more, some authors of new media works add and distribute PPT； used in some of my video speeches without authorization; Some internet users have artificially used some of my educational views to criticize and attack famous universities in China in order to earn traffic and even provoke disputes and hostility. Here, I solemnly declare:

I have never advocated kicking English out of the college entrance examination, only think that non-English majors (candidates) should not spend too much time and energy on English learning; English is a tool of communication and cannot be used as the main criterion to measure the level of talents; However, the basic learning of foreign languages and the mastery of basic skills are necessary for modern intellectuals and skilled people. As science and engineering students and scholars, English reading and writing are more important than oral English.

I have never said that any scholars and professors are inferior to me. I only encouraged young students to learn "asymmetric comparison" and discover "asymmetric advantages" in my speeches, and analyzed myself with some famous professors and celebrities as an example, thinking that I have some advantages that can be compared with some famous scholars and celebrities. In fact, I always say "I have full respect for Professor XXX, and I can’t compare with him in all his 20 specialties" in the last sentence of any speech involving this content. It’s a pity that such an expression was deleted by Xiaobian by means of decapitation;

I have always been full of respect for the leading universities in China, and believe that in recent decades, these universities have made outstanding contributions to national construction and development, and it is the right choice for young students to yearn for these universities. The point I want to express is that it is fortunate to be admitted to a top university; If you fail in the exam (reading), you can become a success if you study hard in ordinary colleges and universities; Studying abroad is an inevitable way for China to go global, understand the world and build up self-confidence, and it is also an inevitable result of reform and opening up. I am deeply indignant at the recent repeated illegal transcription, unauthorized copying of my speech video and its fragments, and even malicious fabrication and tampering on the online platform, and I have repeatedly complained to the new media platform involved, but I still can’t put an end to and stop the above illegal acts; I deeply regret that the new media platform involved cannot be effectively stopped according to law!
In order to prevent the public and relevant media from misunderstanding and set the record straight, I declare as follows:
1. As of the date of this statement, I am required not to record, record or disseminate any lectures (speeches) when invited. The related videos, audio and other contents in the new media platform are illegal sneak shots and pirated recordings against my will.
2. I have never opened a personal account on any new media platform, nor have I ever disseminated my speech video and audio on any new media platform, nor have I authorized any new media platform or other users to publish, disseminate or edit my speech video and audio.
3. I enjoy complete copyright and other related rights in my speech works published in different periods and occasions according to law. Without my written authorization, no enterprise or individual may use my copyrighted works in any way, including but not limited to making, copying, publishing, disseminating and modifying my speeches, and shall not infringe on my copyright and other related rights in any way.
4. Without my written authorization, no enterprise or individual may use my portrait without authorization.
