What distinguishes 92 # gasoline from 95 # gasoline is actually the ratio of isooctane to n-heptane. 92 # gasoline is rich in 92% isooctane and 8% n-heptane. No.95 gasoline is rich in 95% isooctane and 5% n-heptane.

When the cylinder in the automobile engine is in piston motion, gasoline and air will be mixed and compressed in the cylinder. If the pressure in the cylinder is too high, it is easy to knock. The antiknock substance in gasoline is isooctane. The higher the label, the higher the isooctane content, and of course the stronger the antiknock performance.

The engine of a good car generally has a high power and compression ratio, and it is undoubtedly easy to knock when adding 92 # gasoline, which is why the better the car, the higher the requirement for gasoline label.

Can different grades of gasoline be mixed?

However, if it is mistakenly fueled or mixed for a long time, the pressure in the cylinder of the car will not meet the requirements of the combustion of the oil-gas mixture, which will easily lead to knocking. Since gasoline should not be mixed, what should we do? In fact, just add gasoline in strict accordance with the label requirements posted on the tank cover. This is not wrong.
